Enugu State high court don sentence one Chiamaka Ifezue to death by hanging sake of di murder of one woman – Ijeoma Nweke – for November 2020.
Ijeoma Nweke na makeup artist wey Chiamaka Ifezue call make she come do job for am, but she come vanish and police later find her deadi bodi for roadside afta some days.
Police later use di phone number wey call am to trace until dem arrest two pipo, Ms Ifezue and her brother Chukwuemeka and charge dem wit murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
For court on Wednesday, Justice Kenneth Okpe wey handle di mata tok say im find di accused guilty of killing di deceased as she force am to drink poisonous substance, wey lead to her death.
Dem bin charge Ms Ifezue under Section 274(1) of di Criminal Code Law of Enugu State, and di punishment na death sentence as punishment.
As e dey deliver di judgement, di judge tok say Ms Ifezue look gentle for face but she get “a heart of steel”.
“She no show any remorse from di beginning of trial to judgment day. I hereby sentence di defendant, Ifezue Chiamaka, to death by hanging until she die. May God have mercy on her,” Justice Okpe tok.
But Justice Okpe bin discharge her brother, Chukwuemeka, afta im agree wit di defence lawyer say di prosecution no present any evidence to show say im follow commit di crime.
