Olalekan say Iyabo Ojo use her Instagram account to allegedly defame Naira Marley for September 2023 wey be di same month wey Mohbad bin die.
For di letter, Naira Marley claim say Iyabo Ojo accuse am of dealing wit Mohbad “spiritually, mentally and physically” and e say dis don expose am to ridicule for di public.
“Your publication for di internet wey dey readily accessible to users dey constitute a very serious libel and e don cause vey large damage to di reputation of our client (Naira Marley).”
“Since di publication (of Iyabo Ojo) our client don receive calls from im followers, colleagues, friends and fans all ova di world wey don read di post and dem dey express dia concern about di defamation wey you falsely post for your official Instagram handle,” di document read.
Olalekan say Iyabo Ojo need to publish public apology to Naira Marley and e gatz dey posted on her Instagram handle ‘iyaboojofespris’ and national newspaper within seven days wey dem write di letter.
If afta di stipulated period Iyabo Ojo neva tender di apology, Olalekan say Naira Marley go dey forced to demand 500 million naira for damages.
“Our client dey propose say make you communicate your terms wey go help wit amicable resolutions within seven days wey dis letter come out or our client go begin legal proceedings without any consideration.”
